I’ve been looking for cheap flights to Florida, in August. Thing is, I’m a german student, I lived there for a year as an exchange student, so this summer (because that’s the only time I’m off for more than 2 weeks) I want to go back and visit my host family and all the people I’ve met, but all the flights I found so far are in the range of $1000, and that’s just insane, I mean, who wants to go to Florida in August? Since it’s the hottest time of the year I’d say nobody, but still, flights are that expensive. I looked for flights around christmas last year, and even then I found one that was 470€, I couldn’t go though because of school, but why are flights during high season that much cheaper than off season?

So anything on where I can find a cheap one? Am I looking to early to really find anything? Dates are 8/2 to 9/12, +/- 2 days, Munich of Frankfurt, and pretty much anywhere in FL

AUGUST! Jesus Christ!
Aim not to fly in to Orlando international airport, fly to a smaller airport like Sanford.
Have a great time! Sure as hell you’ll fry to death & get trampled by the crouds!

I wouldn’t know from Germany…but you could fly into a smaller airport and it would probably be cheaper

Check
Also look at charters from the UK to Sanford, Florida: … and add a hop to the UK with Ryanair or Easyjet or whoever’s cheapest:
